Envisioning 2020 – Preparing for Future Global Demand is the topic of this year’s International Livestock Congress-USA.

Producers, packers, retailers, students and other industry leaders will hear about future trends of the global meat markets, international trade markets, abd agrucultural trends, including discussion about the current economic impact and political updates that affect our industry.

World-renowned speaker, Richard Brown, Director of GIRA Euroconsulting and Director of Girag, which in turn represents the management consultancy and strategic market research arms of the Gira Group, a French-based international organization which offers strategic marketing consultancy and research throughout the food industry, will be our keynote speaker. He will provide summary projections and analysis of our industry based on the general economic outlook of the global financial system and briefly discuss global market developments.

Richard will be followed by an outstanding International Trade Panel. USMEF economist Erin Daley will lead this panel in providing information about major global trends in beef and pork consumption, and the implications these trends will have on international trade. Erin will be accompanied by Greg Bloom, National Sales Manager, Colorado Meat Packers and Rob Shuey, Vice President, International Sales - Fresh Meats, Tyson Foods, Inc.

To complete our morning, Jeff Simmons, President of Elanco, the animal health division of Eli Lilly and Company, will speak about agricultural trends.

The first afternoon session will address responses to our ILC-USA Production Response Query by a panel of beef industry production analysts: Butch Bratsky, John Maddux, and Kevin Yon.
